The southern coast of Finland was hammered with unusually strong summer gusts. Over 10 000 households were left without power as dozens of trees fell on powerlines. I recorded a 19,4 m/s (43,4 mph) wind gust in downtown Helsinki, but at least 24 m/s (54 mph) was measured elsewhere in Helsinki.
